Jesta, the magic triangle
Teenagers-Elderly-Professionals

The Jesta Association connects youth volunteers, professionals and other volunteers – with the elderly and Holocaust survivors. Volunteering with real meaning: accompaniment and visits, a listening ear, technological help and small repairs at home

What is Jesta?

Jesta Association was founded out of a deep social mission by released combat soldiers, with the goal of serving as a protective shield for Israel’s senior citizens in the face of the loneliness crisis and harsh living conditions.

At the heart of the association is the “Triple Action Model,” which combines human compassion with practical, professional support: on one side, a “Digital Grandchild” program in which teenagers provide ongoing companionship, day-to-day assistance, and relief from loneliness; and on the other side, the “Angels” community—more than 450 volunteer skilled professionals such as electricians, plumbers, and lawyers—who ensure that elderly people living below the poverty line can have decent housing and personal security through free renovations and repairs.

Together, we have built a loving and inclusive family. Today, the association supports 1,323 seniors through a network of 1,408 volunteers nationwide, from Sderot and the Gaza border communities to towns and villages in the North.

In addition, the association leads technology training programs in assisted-living facilities and nursing homes, and runs “handyman” courses for young people, working in full synergy with local welfare departments and government bodies.

All of this is done through pure volunteerism, with no paid staff, driven by an uncompromising commitment to the quality of life and dignity of those who built the country.

Jesta is not just an association, but a supportive community that changes reality—restoring strength and a smile to Israel’s veterans.
