This document governs the terms of use of the Jesta association website (reg. no. 580767184) and the privacy policy that applies to it. Using the site constitutes acceptance of the terms set out below.
Privacy Policy
General
Jesta respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information provided to it. This policy describes how information is collected on the site, how it is used and what your rights are, all in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 and the regulations issued under it.
Data controller and contact
The entity responsible for the information (the database owner) is the Jesta association (reg. no. 580767184), of 19 Kromer Noah St., Rehovot, 7642528. For any privacy question or request you may contact us at jesta.org@gmail.com.
Information collected
When you fill in the 'Contact us' or 'Leave details' form on the site, we collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, phone number, email address and the content of your message.
In addition, anonymous technical information may be collected in order to operate and improve the site (such as browser type and pages viewed). Providing the information is voluntary and based on your consent; you are under no legal obligation to provide it.
Use of the information
The information will be used by the association for the following purposes only:
- Contacting you and responding to enquiries
- Coordinating and supporting volunteering processes
- Sending updates and mailings, where you have consented to this - consent you may withdraw at any time
- Improving the site and the service it provides
Sharing information with third parties
The association will not share your details with third parties, except in the following cases: with service and infrastructure providers acting on its behalf and for the purpose of operating the site; where required by law or by order of a competent authority; or with your consent.
Donations are processed through the IsraelGives platform, which is an independent third party. Payment details are provided directly to them and are subject to their privacy policy; the association does not collect or store any payment-method details.
Information security
The association takes accepted measures to secure the information and prevent unauthorised access to it. However, complete immunity cannot be guaranteed, and the association cannot undertake that its systems will be entirely immune from intrusion or misuse.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Privacy Law, you have the right to review the information held about you, to request its correction or deletion, and to request that the information not be used for mailing purposes.
To submit a request you may contact us at jesta.org@gmail.com; we will handle it in accordance with the law and within a reasonable time of receiving it.
Database management and privacy officer
The database is managed in accordance with the Protection of Privacy Law and its regulations, including Amendment 13 to the law. As of now the association is not required to appoint a dedicated privacy protection officer, and responsibility for the matter is held by the association's management - you may reach us on any matter at jesta.org@gmail.com. To the extent the database is subject to a registration requirement, the association will act to comply with it as required by law.
Cookies
The site may use cookies and similar technologies in order to operate properly and improve the user experience. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may impair some of the site's functions.
Data retention
The information will be retained for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or for as long as required by law, after which it will be deleted or its identifying details removed.
Minors
The site is not intended to knowingly collect information from minors. A minor who wishes to provide details must first obtain the consent of their guardian.
Changes to this policy
The association may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page and will apply from the date of its publication.
Terms of Use

Use of the site is subject to the terms set out below. If you do not agree to any of the terms, please refrain from using the site.
Use of the site
The site is intended to provide information about the association's activity, to recruit volunteers and to raise donations. The site may not be used for any unlawful purpose, its operation or security may not be impaired, and its content may not be copied or harvested by automated means without permission.
Intellectual property
All rights in the site's content, including text, design, logo, images and videos, are reserved to the Jesta association or to the relevant rights holders. The content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used commercially without prior written consent.
Limitation of liability
The information on the site is presented as is and for general purposes only. The association makes an effort to keep the information accurate and up to date, but is not liable for any damage, direct or indirect, arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.
External links
The site may include links to external sites, including the IsraelGives donation platform. The association is not responsible for the content, privacy policy or availability of those sites, and use of them is at the user's sole responsibility.
Donations, receipts and cancellation
Donations on the site are processed and handled through the IsraelGives platform, which issues the receipts. To the extent the association holds a valid approval under Section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance, a donation may be eligible for a tax benefit as provided by law.
Cancellation of a standing order or a monthly donation is done through the IsraelGives platform, or by contacting the association at jesta.org@gmail.com and we will assist accordingly. Cancellation of a transaction will be carried out in accordance with the Consumer Protection Law and applicable law.
Changes to the terms
The association may update these terms of use from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page and will apply from the date of its publication.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and the use of the site are governed solely by the laws of the State of Israel. Exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to the site shall lie with the competent courts of the Tel Aviv-Yafo district.
